The inaugural Humanitarian of the Year award recognises a person who, through their actions, is exemplary in his/her leadership, caring, and commitment to the welfare of humanity, either within Zone 8 or globally.
Ruth Carlos Martinez is that person in 2018 and has won this prestigious award for Rotary Zone 8* which encompasses Australia, New Zealand and Pacific Islands and 25 districts.
