An article from Norm Draper, RC Keilor

Every year the Rotary Club of Keilor provides 100 Christmas Bags to Bolton Clarke Community Nurses to deliver to their mostly elderly, isolated, socially and economically challenged patients in the Moonee Valley and Brimbank Local Government areas.
Through Club fundraising, with the support of a Rotary Foundation District Grant, Club funds, and the generous assistance of a number of supporters, Keilor Rotary is again undertaking this project in 2025.  Its success is reflected in the comments from Bolton Clarke after Christmas 2024 who reported: “throughout the year our staff can see that many of our clients are struggling with their health, social isolation and particularly with the rising cost of living."  "The generous Christmas Hampers received by our clients from the Keilor Rotary Club have been wonderful and have really made a difference to the people who received them."

In that same report, Bolton Clarke advised on the individual reactions of many of its clients who received our Christmas Bags, including Anica, who said" “I am very surprised as I don’t receive many surprises nor gifts. It brought tears to my eyes, and it has made my Christmas feel wonderful.”
