It is likely that other members of the community have similar thoughts and circumstances, but may not be sufficiently aware of Rotary and the full extent of its work. Dorothy Gilmour The Chair of Rotary SAFE Families, Rotary Hawthorn’s Dorothy Gilmour, is available to present Rotary SAFE Families’ prevention of family abuse, at your meetings. Rotary SAFE Families is a ‘preventative’ program to Stop Abuse in Families Everywhere (SAFE). It assists Rotarians and the community through awareness of its “3RRR’s: Recognise what abuse looks like Raise your concerns “safely” with the victim Refer the victim to 000 (if emergency) or any of the support agencies OR Make the call yourself!
