District Conference News Flash! (& DG Dale’s musings)

Hello Everyone, A newsletter of positive and challenging events. On the positive side, District Conference news, the Rotary International President-elect Jennifer Jones has accepted our invitation to speak at the conference live from Melbourne. Separately, the well-known journalist Ali Moore has been confirmed as MC and will also be undertaking interviews during the event. On the negative side, we all feel for our northern Australian neighbours who have been subject to terrible floods and in Ukraine, the terrible humanitarian disaster. Rotarians and the wider community can support both disasters via the RAWCS (Flood appeal) and Rotary Foundation (Ukraine). Firstly, Rotary Australia World Community Service Ltd (RAWCS) an organisation formed to enable Australian Rotarians, Rotary Districts and Rotary Clubs to assist disadvantaged communities and individuals through humanitarian aid projects, has set up a National Flood Appeal to raise funds
