Storm the Stage

 Storm the Stage

Storm.jpgStorm the Stage is an exciting and innovative project connecting Rotary to the world of young performers in both Drama and Musical Theatre.

This project is a National competition with the final in 2011 to be held in Brisbane.  Entrants must be between 16-19 years in the year of the competition.

The solo performance must be between 3-5 minutes, no more or less. The performance material must be from published world repertoire in drama and musical theatre and it must be performed in English.

The three judges will be scoring on:

  • Understanding, interpretation and ‘ownership’ of material selected for performance
  • Vocal and physical quality of the performance
  • ‘Star quality’ – does the performer have talent, energy, personality and stage presence
  • Engagement with the audience and audience response
