National Youth Science ForumThe National Youth Science Forum program is one of excellence for talented Year 11 science students contemplating a career in the science or engineering. It introduces students to the myriad of careers open to them in science and engineering, and whether it be in Canberra or Perth, the students will work alongside experts in their respective fields as well as have access to industry and university laboratories that would not otherwise be open to students. The twelve days are action packed and students report that it has been a life changing opportunity for them. D9800 was allocated twenty four places for NYSF in January 2011 divided between each of the two Canberra 12 day residential sessions and the 12 day Perth residential session. In addition the district was allocated one place at the NYSF equivalent in New Zealand. (highlights of reports from students attending NYSF 2011 – read more) Important dates to remember for 2011:
