Rotary Kokoda Project - Connecting the Community
This project is a Victoria Police programme taking Youths from the high rise of Flemington to the hills of Kokoda and was initiated by the Rotary Club of Williamstown when a member of the club saw a need to engage Rotary and Victoria Police in raising funds for troubled Youths.
These kids (both male and female) are identified as having low self esteem and are disenfranchised in the community, lacking goals and direction in life and are at risk of not completing school.
They are taken on a positive life changing experience walking the Kokoda track.
The Spirit of Kokoda changes the lives of all who take the challenge.
- Aims To Provide a positive and life changing experience, normally not available to young people in this community
