Model United Nations Assembly - Dates Updated for 2016

Fri 27th May 2015 to Sunday 29th May 2016

This international youth program simulates the workings of the United Nations Assembly by having two senior students from a number of schools represent a particular UN country in debates on matters of world political and social concern.

Youth Exchange students can also participate. The assembly is about building bridges of goodwill for world peace and understanding through a personal involvement in the acceptance of situations that reflect the opinion of ‘adopted’ countries. Students are challenged by the opportunities of extended research, debating and public speaking skills by addressing a wide range of contemporary and world-focussed issues. The program extends over a weekend and it is chaired and judged by Rotarians.

Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI)

DATES UPDATED to April 2016 - Now runs over 4 Evening Sessions

The Rotary Leadership Institute (RLI) is a multi-district leadership development program which seeks to have Rotary Clubs identify those Rotarians who seem to have the potential for future club leadership (not necessarily as club presidents) and provide those so identified with a quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills for voluntary organisations.

Education is a crucial component of any Club Service Program because it ensures your members are gaining the knowledge, understandings, skills and confidence to take on leadership roles within and beyond your club. Compile a list of members who have attended RLI Courses and allow time in your Club Program for them to encourage others to begin a Rotary Learning and Development Journey of their own.
