Rotary Youth Exchange
The Country Selection Week-end for 2011 outbound exchange students at Camp Getaway has been concluded with success.
A record number of 17 outbound students were selected to be Australian Youth Exchange ambassadors to Brazil, Germany, France, Poland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Finland and the USA.
The students used the weekend to learn the many and sometimes complex issues of wonderful world of Youth Exchange and also to get to know their fellow students as well as the members of the District’s Youth Exchange Committee, Rotexians and a few inbound students. These students will now have six months of ‘getting ready’ phase prior to their departure in January 2011 for 12 months.
