Camp Getaway
Thanks to Cherrie Osborn of the RC Keilor East

'Camp Getaway caters for those of all abilities and mobility, provides a meeting place for support groups, and offers those who need it most a sanctuary away from their daily struggles.
Located in Axedale in Victoria (15 minutes from Bendigo), the former youth camp has received a tremendous makeover - thousands of voluntary hours have already gone into redeveloping the site to create self contained units with full disabled facilities and a modern dormitory.
With the work of a number of Rotary clubs and generous donations including that of a 25,000 litre water tank, Rotary Camp Getaway has been the result of concerted fundraising, working bees and construction efforts by Rotary volunteers'.
