| While your discarded or outdated computers might be worthless to you or your business once you have upgraded systems, Rotary District 9800 can use your working computer to help provide opportunities through the Computers 4 Kids & Community program.

The aims of the Computers 4 Kids program are:
| - To enable disadvantaged students who would benefit educationally by having a computer and needy community groups who would otherwise be unable to afford computers to receive PCs and IT equipment to use.
- To invite co-operation of businesses and individuals to donate superseded computers and peripheral equipment, refurbished if necessary, to the project.
- In conjunction with Victoria University’s Community Initiative Program, enable Work For The Dole participants to undertake the PC Repairs Course, to gain practical knowledge, expertise and improved self-esteem.

How Can You Get Involved or Help Out?
|
|
 | Donate your old computers! Your computer hardware and peripherals are valuable commodities to the Computers 4 Kids & Community program - so long as the hardware is in working and usable condition, we'll be happy to take your 'unwanteds'. (You may well be contributing to urban aesthetics too, keeping used computers off nature-strips!)
Rotary District 9800 Computers 4 Kids & Community welcomes businesses to subscribe with us as a partner, as we will arrange collection of your cast-offs when you upgrade systems.
Sensitive data is removed via hard drive wiping and reformatting, ensuring your privacy is protected.

| Donations from the public, sponsors and partners make large projects like this much more achievable. - your support, whether in the form of financial contribution, volunteer labour, donation of goods or services, or expertise allows us to meet the needs of others who need support.
