| Rotary District 9800 co-ordinates, runs and partners a variety of health initiatives aimed at improving the health of people in communities around the world.
Australian Rotarians provide funding and resources to health research, mental health programs, health promotion campaigns, health screening programs and major disease control and eradication. The many local and international health initiatives all add up to reduce suffering and provide a healthier, safer and more prosperous future for tomorrow's generations.

| The Australian Rotary Health Research Fund is one of the largest independent health research funds in Australia. Its goals are to encourage, promote, stimulate and aid medical and health research in Australia; to co-ordinate and manage Rotary health initiatives and community health projects; and, to promote, encourage and stimulate public interest in the prevention and treatment of ill health in Australia.

| Initiated by the Rotary Club of Hawthorn, District 9800 has adopted a project to raise funds to support the Royal Children's Hospital Neuro-Sciences Ward. This program aims to give children suffering from epilepsy the chance for a stable childhood. The service will electronically monitor the child to assist the Doctor to pinpoint the area for successful surgery. Donations are tax deductible.
